Scottie Scheffler joins Tiger Woods as the only players to win the PGA Tour’s Player of the Year award four consecutive seasons.
At age 29, the American secured six victories in 2025, including two majors—the Open Championship and the PGA Championship—along with a PGA Tour-best 17 top-10 finishes and an unbeaten record in cuts made.
He becomes only the second player ever to win the Jack Nicklaus Award for at least four straight seasons, following Woods’ five consecutive wins from 1999 to 2003 (and totaling 11 in his career).
Scheffler, now world number one, earned the vote of PGA Tour members over fellow American Ben Griffin, England’s Tommy Fleetwood, and Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy.
PGA Tour chief executive Brian Rolapp commented, “Scottie’s consistent level of success has been nothing short of spectacular as he continues to chase history on the PGA Tour, and we’re excited to see what he will deliver in 2026.”
South Africa’s Aldrich Potgieter was named PGA Tour Rookie of the Year with the Arnold Palmer Award after a season that saw him become the only newcomer to reach the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
Potgieter was one of five rookies to win on tour this year and is the third South African to win the award, following Ernie Els (1994) and Trevor Immelman (2006).
